Hi there. We lived in berkeley for many years and we were members at Netivot Shalom. We will be visiting Berkeley in August, and we are looking for a 2-4 bedroom house to rent for the entire month. Or we would be happy to swap our home in Ra'anana Israel. I was wondering if you would be willing to put an announcement in your newsletter or up on the board at shul? Thank you so much, Serena Eisenberg serena.eisenberg@gmail.com (Simler/Eisenberg family).
Hag Sameach!
Hello, my name is Deborah Goldschmidt and I am currently a student in the undergraduate program at University of California Santa Barbara. I graduated from the Head-Royce School in Oakland in 2009. I am interested in being a nanny or babysitting for children of any age during the summer of 2010. I have had years of experience working with young kids, including tutoring children ages 5-7 in the Hebrew language as a teaching assistant at Netivot Shalom's religious school program and for two years in Rimmonim, working with the Amitim students as well, being a camp counselor at Camp Newman, and years of babysitting children of all ages. I will have extremely flexible hours. Please contact me at (510) 409-0906, or dgoldschmidt@umail.ucsb.edu. Resume and references on request!
We're looking to purchase a cheap car that runs reliably, for our teens to drive- a dent here or there, lack of beauty or paint is no obstacle. So if you have a car that was too old for or worth less than the government's cash for clunkers program, give a call 981-0464 or email susanlawrence@gmail.com. Thanks!
Netivot Shalom member Jenny Ring will be on Sabbatical Leave from the University of Nevada next year, and is looking for a place to rent in Berkeley or the greater East Bay. She and her dog Joey, a friendly, eight-year-old yellow lab, would like to find a small (one bedroom?) cottage, house, or apartment with access to a yard for Joey. Subletting a house or apartment would be okay too.. Dates are flexible. Could start immediately, but certainly by early summer. Will stay a minimum of one year, but perhaps longer if the place is wonderful. Jenny hopes to return to the Bay Area on a permanent basis, and this is the first step. If you know of a place, please email at jring@unr.edu or phone (775) 741-5137.
